About Andie
Andie Anderson, LMHC, LPC
FounderMany of the people I work with have spent years taking care of everyone else. They are the helpers, caregivers, parents, partners, professionals, and problem-solvers who have become so focused on meeting the needs of others that they have lost sight of their own. Over time, this can lead to anxiety, burnout, unhealthy relationship patterns, low self-worth, and a feeling of being disconnected from who they truly are.
I believe healing begins when we create space to slow down, understand our experiences, and reconnect with ourselves.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor, I work with adolescents and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship concerns, life transitions, eating disorders, stress, and self-esteem struggles. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that lasting change comes from building upon a person's existing strengths while developing new tools for growth and healing.
My path into counseling began during my 12 years of service in the United States Military. As a combat veteran, I witnessed firsthand the impact that trauma, chronic stress, deployment, and major life transitions can have on service members and their families. Seeing these challenges inspired me to pursue a career in mental health and dedicate my work to helping others navigate difficult seasons of life with resilience and purpose.
Clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted from repeating the same patterns in relationships, work, or daily life. Together, we explore the experiences that shaped those patterns, identify barriers to change, and develop healthier ways of coping, communicating, and connecting. Whether we are working through past trauma, learning to set boundaries, improving relationships, or rebuilding confidence, my goal is to help clients feel empowered and in control of their lives again.
My therapeutic style is warm, genuine, and direct. I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe enough to be vulnerable, challenged enough to grow, and supported enough to take meaningful steps forward. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, and I believe every individual deserves an approach tailored to their unique experiences, values, and goals.
At Grounded Path Counseling and Wellness, my mission is to help clients move from merely surviving to living with greater confidence, balance, connection, and authenticity.
You do not have to navigate life's challenges alone. Wherever you are on your journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
A little about me
Outside of counseling, I am a mother of two boys, military veteran, and outdoor enthusiast. I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, kayaking, gardening, and exploring nature. I believe healing often happens when we slow down, reconnect with what matters most, and find ways to stay grounded in our daily lives.
These experiences have shaped my belief that growth doesn't come from perfection—it comes from learning to navigate life's challenges with self-compassion, resilience, and support.
What It's Like to Work With Me
Clients often describe me as warm, direct, and easy to talk to. My approach balances compassion with practical problem-solving. I will meet you where you are, help you identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work alongside you to develop tools that support lasting change.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide guidance, support, and perspective as we work toward your goals together.
